There’s nothing quite like a good laugh and Netflix has the shows to make you smile. We hope our Hannover Grand at Sandy Springs residents in Atlanta, Georgia, enjoy this list of top Netflix comedies!
When four lifelong friends are determined to embarrass each other on a hidden camera, the result is a laugh-out-loud impromptu comedy show to die for. Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano provoke each other into hysterically funny situations as they interact with an unsuspecting public. Netflix picked up the series from truTV. You never know what wacky thing they’ll make each other do or say, but you will be left in stitches!
The Good Place
This NBC original series has been picked up by Netflix as well. The quirky upbeat comedy stars Kristen Bell across from former Cheers sitcom star, Ted Danson, in a strangely bureaucratic afterlife. Bell’s character, Eleanor Shellstrop, may be in the "Good Place" due to a paperwork mix-up. She’s a bad girl trying to behave and stay out of the “Bad Place.”
One Day at a Time
Netflix’s One Day at a Time focuses on a Cuban-American single mom struggling with PTSD while dealing with her live-in mother and kids. It’s definitely binge-watchable and a wonderfully classic sitcom from back-in-the-day that fits today’s culture.
This series has been trending high despite the first season not catching fire with audiences. The animated alternate reality series emerges as a comedy able to handle tough issues such as depression. You'll love how it balances humor with sadness in a worthwhile format!
Two Old-School Series Worth Binge-Watching
Netflix has smartly picked up plenty of tried-and-true sitcoms that are brightly uplifting. Reruns of the Ted Danson-led Cheers and a whopping 10 seasons of Friends are reportedly available on the streaming service. Happy binge-laughing!
